Congratulations to BYI teacher and student Bre Carpenter who placed 2nd in the Arizona Yoga Asana Championships. She will represent Arizona at the 2009 Bishnu Ghosh cup, in Los Angeles. Great Job Bre!

Congratulations to Stacey Handelong, Chastity Ocano and Elissa Zeltzer who did an awesome job and represented the BYI with poise and grace.

It was quite an honor to visit with Rajashree at the Yoga Championships and all the competitors felt very special that she was there to judge the competition.

- Rajashree started her yoga training at age four (5-time winner of All-India Yoga Championship)
- Travels worldwide for Seminars (holds a degree in Hatha Yoga Therapy)
- Bikram Yoga teacher training (encouraged Bikram to start a teacher training program)
- Yoga Asana Championships (starting a youth division to create a healthy lifestyle early on)
- Karma is Action formerly Karma for Kids (alleviating the suffering of children with life threatening illnesses and cleaning up environmental causes which lead to these diseases.
- Labanya Foundation (a worldwide women's Charity Organization, helping women in crisis of all ages and nationalities)
